Introduction to Hetzner

Hetzner operates its own state-of-the-art data centers in Nuremberg and Falkenstein (both in Germany) and in Helsinki, Finland. Recently, it has also added data centers in Ashburn, Virginia, and Hillsboro, Oregon, in the United States.

Important Notes:

• Account Registration:
  Hetzner uses a prepaid model, with invoices issued on the 4th of each month. Server purchases are activated first, and payment is made afterward. Due to this, Hetzner has strict requirements for account information. Registering an account requires KYC (Know Your Customer) verification and facial recognition.
• Copyright Compliance:
  Hetzner enforces strict copyright policies and does not tolerate DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) violations. Abuse reports must be addressed promptly; otherwise, accounts may be suspended, and servers may be deactivated.
• Tax Exemption:
  When registering an account, avoid selecting Germany or the United States as your region. This allows you to purchase servers without taxes, saving costs.
